Research and Innovation

Speaker presenting Tip-Apex Distance Measurement to an attentive audience.

Better Research Results in Better Patient Outcomes

Every advancement in shoulder surgery — whether a refined surgical technique, improved implant design, or smarter use of technology — starts with rigorous research. That is why I stay actively involved in clinical research and the evaluation of emerging innovations. By bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and daily practice, I can offer my patients in Tulsa the most effective, evidence-based treatments available.

Outcomes

I have published 100+ peer reviewed articles and abstracts, and my work has been cited over 1,000 times by author authors and scientists. The work we are performing here in Tulsa has a wide reach, and the I put this same attention to detail required for high-impact research into each and every patient I treat.

Why my research means you will receive the highest quality care.

If you choose to be a patient of mine, I take this honor very seriously. In my clinic you will never be rushed through a visit or have your concerns dismissed. My goal is to form a relationship with each patient to achieve the highest quality outcomes. We see patients back at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery and see each patient at least once a year after surgery for over 10 years. This will allow us to obtain robust research outcomes, and also allow you as a patient to know I am deeply invested in your outcome and care.
