Dr. Jake Checketts is an orthopedic surgeon and Tulsa’s only shoulder specialist trained at a current ASES (American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons) accredited fellowship program. He focuses exclusively on the diagnosis and treatment of complex shoulder conditions, delivering advanced, evidence-based care to patients throughout Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma.


Trained directly under Dr. Frederick Matsen III at one of the nation’s original and most prestigious shoulder and elbow surgery fellowships, Dr. Checketts brings world-class expertise to every patient. He specializes in muscle-preserving surgical techniques and incorporates the latest enabling technologies — including robotics and augmented reality — to achieve superior outcomes with less pain and shorter recovery times.
